Shammel, Orbot, Shayyel

The MMAG terrace hosted an event facilitated by Akka Hamdan to support Mohannad Samama’s journey out of Gaza. Mohannad is a dancer and the founder of ‘Hai’, a troupe for contemporary dance based in Gaza.

This evening first introduced the audience to the troupe’s work through a series of short films. Then, through a series of exercises and interactive performances, all present enjoyed learning folk Dabkeh moves and styles and watched members of the Amman-basedMajdaltroupe in action.
