On planting a freedom fighter, figuratively and metaphorically was a film night curated by Yazan Taiseer. It is said that if an indigenous population is massacred, the animals will rise up and kill the colonizer. And if the animals were massacred, the grass will dry and become a spear that expels the colonizer. And if the grass is burnt, from the ashes the land will give birth again to an indigenous population. These are the series of events told in this short documentary about warriors in the tunnels of a Vietnamese village.
This evening was part of the Resistance film program, proposed to explore cinematic creations that explore resistance and liberation, seeing Liberation movments all over the world, from Chiapas to Gaza to Hanoi.
