bleep bloop: on the web, eternally on the web

The You who lives on the internet, what form(s) does it take? Which name does it have? Do you really know you/them/it?

In an era characterized by online socializing and meta-lounging where identities are transformed and adapted to the digital realm, regular engagement with social media produces information that creates, sustains, and cultivates our digital personas. Those, despite our efforts, represent altered versions of ourselves, often unfamiliar or detached.

Through the creation of a visual depiction of online identities, this workshop, led by MMAG resident Hescham Karschan, researched and explored the notion of digital personas, techno-politics, and the connections among alter egos.
