If I fear the visible
Mondays And Thursdays, June 4, 8, 11
6:00 - 8:00
What would it mean to touch a poem? When emotions exceed the limits of language, when words begin to feel too distant or abstract, how else might expression take shape?
This series explores the space where poetry and language becomes visual, tactile, and embodied. Through conversation, reading, and making, participants will consider how texture, image, and form can deepen the experience of reading and feeling.
Across three sessions, participants will engage with experimental works of visual and tactile poetry in both Arabic and English, while also creating original pieces of their own. Attendees are encouraged to bring a playful spirit, a few old photographs, and an openness to curiosity and “what ifs?”
Sessions will be facilitated in Arabic, though participants are welcome to engage in whichever language feels most comfortable to them.
